Compassionate, non-judgmental presence
Creating a space where you can be yourself without fear of criticism or shame.
Hello, I'm the founder of Fall Away Therapies
I am an HCPC-accredited psychotherapist and art psychotherapist based in Kirkcaldy, Fife, with six years of full-time clinical practice. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting children, young people, adults, families, and fellow professionals across Fife, Dundee and Tayside.
My approach is grounded in psychodynamic practice, which means we explore how your past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns may be influencing how you feel and relate to the world today. This can lead to greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and lasting change.
I believe deeply in:
Creating a space where you can be yourself without fear of criticism or shame.
Recognising that creative expression can unlock understanding where words alone cannot reach.
Supporting you to discover your own answers rather than prescribing solutions.
Therapy moves at your speed, shaped by what matters to you.
My experience includes:
Delivering psychotherapy and art psychotherapy in educational environments, healthcare settings, and community services across Fife, Dundee, and Tayside.
Supporting therapists and practitioners from diverse therapeutic and professional backgrounds to develop their practice and maintain their wellbeing.
Sharing knowledge through university-level teaching and delivering workshops within organisations.
A commitment to continuing learning, supervision, and ethical practice in line with HCPC and BAAT standards.
Throughout this work, I've developed a deep appreciation for the therapeutic relationship as the foundation of meaningful change. I aim to create a therapeutic experience that feels safe, grounded, and genuinely collaborative.
My work is rooted in a person-centred, relational approach. I believe that therapy is most effective when you feel safe, seen, and understood. Together, we explore your experiences with curiosity and care, integrating techniques from psychotherapy and art psychotherapy to meet your needs rather than fitting you into a model.
Whether through talking, creating, or simply being present together, our work will be shaped by what you bring and what feels right for you. For some people, traditional psychotherapy provides exactly what they need. For others, art psychotherapy offers a gentler or more accessible way to process difficult experiences.
The most important thing is that you feel heard, respected, and supported throughout our time together.
If you're considering therapy, supervision, or simply want to find out more about how we might work together, I'd be happy to offer a free initial consultation. Sessions are available in Kirkcaldy, Dundee, and online across Scotland. Get in touch and we can explore whether Fall Away Therapies feels like the right fit for you.
